The KAC Atlanta Chapter’s monthly happy hour on Friday, May 4 will dovetail with a no limit, Texas Hold’em Poker tournament, with the top prizes including a New iPad (OK—the iPad 3), a flat-panel TV and a dinner-hotel-and-spa package at the downtown Marriott. The joint fundraising event/happy hour will be held from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Kani House Johns Creek, located near the Super H-Mart on Abbotts Bridge road.
The event’s proceeds will help defray the costs to send two Georgia college students this summer to KAC’s National Collegiate Leadership conference in Los Angeles. The conference, established in 1980, helps groom the next generation of Korean-American leaders, with former attendees including well-respected leaders in government, finance, non-profit, arts and entertainment.
Space for the Poker tournament is limited to 50 people. Players can pre-pay online for $40 online via PayPal; otherwise, the cost is $50 at the door. Interstate Poker, which professionally manages Texas Hold ‘Em tournaments all over the South, will provide the dealers and cards.
